@CliffSecord @Captain80s Dumb question, but why exactly would Crenshaw have his signature on an audit order in the first place, even if he tipped them off or otherwise influenced it? To my knowledge congressmen can only issue subpoenas which are rather limited in scope and usually consist of summoning someone to answer questions, its okay to not answer for legal reasons but is it not the case that by putting his name on tbe audit order personally it makes it completely illegal and could implicate constables serving it legally? I am not a lawyer but a legislator should have no jurisdiction to directly order IRS audits, no? I am genuinely curious and feel free to not answer if it would jeopardize litigation, thanks!
