Friday afternoon reminder to not empty your inbox at the expense of someone else's. As my small town looks into getting AI-powered software to run its permitting process (and we push back on it because of privacy and everything else) I do think fondly of the many things technology has made simpler, or the jobs we used to do. But I am still old fashioned about sending work email on a weekend.

Anarchism in the news lately because of the attention focused on community/direct actions, mutual aid and other forms of rapid response often not possible in big democratic-ish institutions. My local (Vermont) anarchist path has been different and it's also one that's available and I rarely talk about it and I should.

It goes like this: run for a position, Justice of the Peace, in local government (shut up). Get elected seven times in a row, the last time specifically as an Independent.
